My Jes! students exhibition
It was spring, when two (now dear friends) of the project Jes! creators tapped on my door, offering to join the team of tutors who, from early June up to now, have lighted up the first round of thirty hours workshops committed to experiencing unconventional production and research models. I immediately said yes! Jes! please! I answered yes because their will, to stimulate less usual creative approaches with a distinctive, personal touch, marvelously met my will, pondered during the long months of winter silence: going along with my instinct, the peculiarity of my vibrant relationship with natural colors and clothes, and offering courses in botanical dyeing with a really different setting, compared to what continuously repeats itself in the packed workshop offers of recent times. So, for me as well it has been a matter of experimenting, leaving the main road, embracing a lateral way of thinking and acting… and looking at the ongoing projects that my twelve beautiful women exhibited this evening for Jes!Day #2, it really was the right choice! Encouraged by responses from the workshop Recupero_Design_Tintura I’ve given for Jes!, I just can keep along this path, and dive with great enthusiasm -and a pinch of really healthy madness- into the residential workshop Autumn Marks. The Solstice Dyeing I’m planning for the end of September at the Ragola Country House in Ostra (An). But I’ll tell you more about in due time, now the space it’s all for a big applause to my lovely Jes! girls… CLAP CLAP CLAP!!!
